the curtains never seem
to cover up the windows quite enough these days
so I will insulate with dust and webs
that spiders spin for their own homes
cause all I care about these days is my own warmth

and climb those drowned mountains for
to end up at your side but that's not wise
may the salt of my sorrow
drown me faster than the rising tides
I swear it
oh annie oh annie
I swear that I can hear your howl
across the sable waters now
I swear it
I swear that I can hear your howl
across the sable waters now
because the curtains never seem
to cover up the windows quite enough these days
so I will insulate
